Please don't ask for copyright material and remember this is mostly a rock blues site. This doesn't mean don't ask for anything that isn't rock or blues, in fact as far as I'm concerned the more styles and ideas the better but my knowledge might be more limited in some genres. For instance I could talk jazz a lot better than I am able to play it!

Copyright material and transcriptions are not permitted for two reasons. The first being the obvious and we don't want the site shut down but to be honest I'm more against transcribing other people material for other reasons. I won't repeat why in here because I have already written an article on my views. You can read it here.

Pros / Cons Of TABS and Using Them To Your Advantage

With that said, I haven't ruled out the idea of lessons like.. "in the style of" so you feel free to mention you guitar hero's.

Default lesson idea

hi i'm new to this site and don't know if this is how it's done, but i'm wondering if u could give some pointers on ideas for improv on jazz blues changes. i.e. expanding on the i-iv-v progression, and maybe be some soloing ideas. hope i'm not being too cheeky. by the way this site is great the pentatonic lessons have got me playing again. thank you very gladly.

Hi Jazzhobo.

It's a good question and one I'd like to cover when I get the spare time. I actually could use some practice myself on jazzy blues so that would be a great time to write about it.

In the meantime however I can recommend a good book. Jazzin the blues by John Ganapes and David Roos. Infact, all three of the "blues you can use" books are very good, they are..

Blues you can use
More blues you can use
Jazzin the blues.

They are more "hands on" type of books with more examples than theory but worth every penny.
